The much anticipated Alfa Romeo Giulia was supposed to arrive in 2012, but Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne's dissatisfaction with proposals sent designers back to the drawing boards. This caused a bottleneck in the development process as other designs on the sibling models to the Guilia were also rejected. Now the Giulia is not expected to arrive until 2014.

Thankfully, Alessandro Masera, who is a passionate Alfa fan and amateur virtual designer, has sent us these speculative renderings of what he wishes the Giulia will look like. The designs, which include both sedan and sportwagon, are mouth watering and contain some Ferrari flair, as all Alfa models should.

Alfa Romeo Ireland is introducing a new five-year 100,000km warranty that will be standard on all vehicles bought in Ireland from January 2012 onwards. It also comes with five years of roadside assistance cover.

Alfa Romeo boasts of being the first premium manufacturer to offer such a lengthy and comprehensive warranty package which will give the owners of new Alfa Romeo vehicles added peace of mind in these uncertain economic times.

Alfa Romeo also expects the new warranty to give its vehicles an edge with business users and fleet operators who will now be better able to predict the running costs and future value of Alfa Romeo vehicles. In addition to a five-year warranty, all Alfa Romeos offer low fuel consumption and low road tax thanks to their award-winning and advanced engines.

According to Adrian Walsh, managing director of Fiat Group Automobiles Ireland, this is the next stage in the resurgence of Alfa Romeo in Ireland.

Alfa Romeo UK Records Highest Yearly Sales Figure Since 2002

Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has increased its market share in the UK, recording – at the end of 2011 – a volume share increase of 30.8%, while also recording the highest yearly new registration figure for the marque (11,563 cars) since 2002.






In a market place where automotive manufacturers’ average market share decreased by 4.4%, Alfa Romeo bucked the trend by gaining the third largest manufacturer market share increase for the year.

The success of the brand has been down to a combination of factors, from the latest product line-up, to its improved dealer network – which now boasts a top 10 positioning in the J.D. Power UK customer satisfaction survey – and the highly competitive finance and incentive offers available on each model.
