2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta
Giulietta lives up to its melodic name in looks and charisma. Like a beautiful woman, this Alfa wears its jewelry well, and the LED headlights and circular patterns in the wheels standout, adding just a flash of bling in all the right places in tasteful style. The curvy black sheetmetal, the famous Alfa badges, the lines and creases--it all presents in a fashion that brings the romanticism of the brand to life.

Inside is a touch tight, though many comparable cars have similar close quarters. The black seats with red stitching are comfortable, sharp and supportive. The dashboard is easy to read and understand, and it's nice to have real switches to turn off features such as the running lights and auto start/stop--which works flawlessly, by the way. I recorded at least seven instances of the system kicking in on my route home.

2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Review

2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Review, As a sedan, the third generation of Alfa Romeo Giulietta for the 2011 model year was a great ride for a sedan that meets the Alfa Romeo name. A front-wheel drive model, the dynamics of the new Giulietta are beautiful and the interior features and standard equipment offered. Fans of Alfa Romeo Giulietta and supporters are looking for a new facelift and redesign, but they will have to wait a couple more years, when the next revision was in the 2014 model year.

2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta offers a surprisingly comfortable ride, which used to the harder but more precise handling of an Alfa Romeo may come as something of a surprise. A DNA Dynamic mode provides a sportier ride, but the 2012 Giulietta still feels like a comfortable family sedan. We are promising for buyers will be able to choose between comforts or sport chassis and each will have a few different trim levels and powertrain options.

The Ford Focus is less expensive and it shows through and through, but although innovative Ford Sync system and fuel consumption are major plus points of this American classic. Both the Hyundai Elantra and the Honda Accord offers a superior reputation for quality and reliability around.

The Alfa Romeo MiTo, brand new for 2011 from the Italian luxurious automobile manufacturer, makes a real attempt at being an accessible and affordable Italian sports car. While calling it a “sports car” is a little bit of a stretch, the Alfa MiTo should supply spirited driving and respectable power in a sport compact car package. Designed to be a sporty yet affordable alternative to the 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C, the MiTo sport compact car weighs lower than a Honda Civic and should be a pleasure to throw through the esses, and easy to drive in traffic as well.

Alfa Romeo 4C

Alfa Romeo is known for producing distinctive and exotic-looking cars. You may know the 8C coupe or even the recent Spider concept. So it's a bit surprising to learn that when the production version of the Alfa 4C arrives in 2013, it will be only the second street-legal, midengined car ever built by the Italian manufacturer.
Alfa Romeo 4C
The other is the iconic 1967 Alfa 33 Stradale (the road-going version of the Tipo 33 racecar), a car so exclusive and rare that it makes the Ferrari 250 SWB (160 units built) seem positively mass-produced. Getting your hands on a 33, or T33 as it's often called, requires some serious due diligence along with about $2.5-3 million in cash.
Alfa Romeo 4C
By that ridiculous frame of reference, the Alfa Romeo 4C looks like the bargain of the century, as Alfa is claiming it will cost only $55,000-$62,000. We have our doubts, though, as the 4C shown at the Geneva Auto Show employed a carbon-fiber-intensive structure similar to the KTM X-Bow, and even with an off-the-shelf Fiat engine and transmission, it promises to be an expensive project.

Alfa Romeo’s F1 Comeback Bid

With just two victories as an engine supplier, Alfa Romeo's return to Grand Prix racing had not (yet) lived up to the high expectations. The 1950 and 1951 World Champion struggled to keep up with the rapid pace of development in Formula 1. The 179 F1 campaigned by Autodelta from 1979 was continuously updated for the better part of three seasons but without noteworthy results.
Alfa Romeo F1
To change the odds in Alfa Romeo's favor, the Italian manufacturer had obtained the services of Gerard Ducarouge halfway through 1981. The talented French designer had previously been responsible for Le Mans-winning sports racers and, more importantly, the Grand Prix-winning Ligiers. He started with making further changes to the 179, but despite clinching a first podium finish, he quickly realized a clean-sheet design was needed for 1982.

Appropriately dubbed the 182, Alfa Romeo's latest Formula 1 car was a response to the latest development: the introduction of carbon-fiber composite chassis by McLaren early in 1981. Like McLaren, Autodelta did not have the in-house capability to produce such a sophisticated chassis and instead relied on a British supplier. The first carbon tub had actually been constructed in 1981 along the lines of the 179, and the new 182 was visually similar.
